May – June 2017
All day activities for all ages! Join us in the Children’s area as we kick off Summer Reading. Come explore household items that can be used for building castles, towers and more. Crafts and activities will also be available to make and take. These crafts take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Make one or several. It’s up to you. [There will be a limited number of each craft.]
Choose a favorite recipe made on the grill to swap with other participants. Bring your hand written/typed/copied recipe the night of the program and return home with several new ones to try. Refreshments will be provided the night of the program; only written recipes should be brought in to share (no food items please). This program is geared toward adults (grade 9 and older) and registration is required for the event.
Children will hear a story or 2, including “Shark vs. Train” by Chris Barton, and participate in either a craft or activity related to the stories. No registration is required.
Come, ‘Build a Better World’ one story at a time. Preschool story hour introduces stories, music, art, and activities in a fun and interactive way that will help build early literacy skills. This is a program for registered children ages 3 – 5 years old.
Come wiggle and giggle at the library this summer! Tiny Tot’s story hour introduces developmentally appropriate stories, songs, and activities for children ages 12-36 months. Tiny Tot’s is a wonderful way to introduce your child to the joys of reading in a positive and fun atmosphere. Registration is required.
