This is a program for registered children ages 3 – 5 years old. Children will hear a story about time and participate in an activity and/or craft. This week they will hear “Cricket Song” by Anne Hunter.
Bicentennial Program – Choose a favorite recipe to swap that includes at least one item that is grown in Indiana. Bring your hand written/typed/copied recipe the night of the program and return home with several new ones to try. Refreshments will be provided the night of the program; only written recipes should be brought in to share (no food items please). This program is geared toward adults (grade 9 and older) and registration is required for the event.
Registration is required for 18-36 months old children, and an adult caregiver is required to stay with each child during this program. Join the fun this fall as we explore bubbles, shapes and colors. All while learning to play together and develop our love for books. This week you will hear “Piggies” by Audrey & Don Wood.
Students in grades K – 5 are invited to join us for The Grey Spider Book Club which will meet once a month to discuss books that members have read. Participants will be asked to read books from one of the nominee lists so that they are eligible to vote in April 2017 for their favorite. At this meeting, “A Bean, a Stalk, and a Boy Named Jack” by William Joyce and “Big Bad Detective Agency” by Bruce Hale will be highlighted and attendees will do a craft or activity.
Children will hear a story or 2, including “Sophie’s Squash” by Pat Zietlow Miller, and participate in either a craft or activity related to the stories. No registration is required.
